Our purpose is to spread music and joy to our community. Music is known to elevate mood, reduce stress, and stimulate memories, which are greatly beneficial to the mind. We want to positively change our community through the love of music, and hope to bring music to everyone.

Jaslene Lai

Driven by a 12-year love for piano and a desire to serve the community through music, I aim to touch hearts, brighten lives, and inspire unity and kindness together with a passionate group of young musicians! I’m also a proud member of my high school’s wind ensemble and marching band, and am president of Music for Memory Club, a Piano Forte Youth Music chapter at my high school.

I was recently featured in the article “Music for Memory: Student musicians perform at senior homes,” which was recognized as a Best of SNO story.
In addition to Piano Forte Youth Music, I am a founding board member of national, student-run nonprofit AAPI Youth Rising. Awareness against injustice towards minorities is very important to me, as a Taiwanese American, and I hope to celebrate my heritage and promote understanding of equality for my community through my experience and contributions.
